The Moya Story
It began many years ago as an abiding love affair with Africa, her people and her wild places.
Moya Luxury Bush Lodge & Villa is the realisation of a dream to build a destination that embodies the spirit of this incredible continent. We offer our guests an idyllic retreat as well as a more meaningful safari experience.
The result is an intimate, luxurious homage to everything that sets Africa apart, from inspirational decor and design to the warm hospitality of our dedicated team of people whose only desire is to fill you with the spirit of ubuntu - the unique African concept that means "I am because you are" and encompasses the oneness of humanity.
The Lodge
Flowing open plan living and dining areas open out onto wooden decks with unsurpassed views of the African bush and the various wildlife species that call it home.
There is unlimited, free W-Lan Internet throughout the lodge.
Our 7 m sparkling Pool invite you to splash in to cool off during those hot summer days or simply relax and unwind on our comfortable pool loungers, enjoying your favourite “Safari Drink”. whilst listening to the sounds of the bush
The 5-metre-high Viewing Deck at Moya Safari Lodge is a fantastic spot with sweeping views across the Hoedspruit Wildlife Reserve up to the magnificent northern Drakensberg escarpment which is home of the world famous Blyde River Canyon.
Our unique viewpoint is truly a place to enjoy nature at its finest or simply enjoy a traditional sundowner drink whilst admiring the spectacular African sunset.
Our lovely Boma where friends and family meet around the crackling fire after an adventurous day spent in the bush is also a popular pre-dinner gathering place to enjoy exchanging game spotting stories, hearing local tales, and enjoying a well-deserved Safari drink or having a glass of our selected local wine.
Moya Safari Lodge & Villa has implemented a range of eco-friendly measures to ensure their carbon footprint is reduced as much as possible, such as photovoltaic solar panels together with a highly efficient Backup storage, allowing us to monitor and control our energy use. Besides our team is using our 100 % eco-friendly tricycle for the daily local shopping in Hoedspruit town.
Solid waste disposal and management is also part of our environmental planning and implementation.
We do not supply small body beauty amenities in the usual small plastic bottles but prefer to fill up the larger dispensers in our suites daily.
Accommodation
With three luxuriously appointed suites inside the main villa and three located in freestanding chalets in our extensive grounds, Moya Luxury Safari Villa has been designed to offer the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of the Greater Kruger National Park and the amazing range of sights, attractions and activities on our doorstep.
